Commercial Degreaser for Concrete

Commercial Degreaser for Concrete is a heavy duty cleaner/degreaser that is very effective at removing extremely stubborn soils. It was purposefully engineered to provide extra chemical bite for cleaning those difficult cleaning jobs. This deep red colored liquid detergent is extremely concentrated, water soluble, and easily penetrates and removes the most difficult industrial grease and grime. This effective concrete floor cleaner will remove the most difficult greases and oils from the floor surface. A mix ratio of 1 part cleaner to 10 parts water up to 1 part cleaner to 20 parts water will do a great job. This cleaning solution can either be sprayed or mopped onto the concrete floor. For extremely soiled areas, agitate then rinse away. If using this cleaner in a floor scrubber, the recommended mixture ratio would be 1 part cleaner to 40 parts water for most floors.

What gives this high-quality cleaner its aggressive cleaning bite is its heavy-duty chemistry. Its unique formula is a synergistic blend of 3 highly specialized wetting agents along with alkaline builders and a heavy-duty water soluble solvent. It mixes quickly and easily, requires little if any agitation, and can be applied by either steam cleaners, pressure washers, or manually. This high-performance degreaser’s cleaning technology utilizes what is called saponifying action. What this means is that the compound has free caustic that provides an extra cleaning bite by allowing reactivity with many different soils. Magically, it literally creates its own cleaner because its chemistry reacts with oils and fats that create soap. This unique action is in addition to the other cleaning actions that are happening with the rest of the chemical additives. This heavy-duty chemistry is required to effectively clean extremely tough soils found in the heavy equipment and industrial workplace. Its concentrate has a pH of 13 to 13.5. With this strong pH, it is recommended that goggles and gloves always be used for added protection.

If the job at hand is to remove tough petroleum grime, grease, petroleum-based muds, and stubborn soils from off-road industrial equipment and oil rigs, then this high-performance cleaner is your go-to degreaser. Its all purpose versatility and its extremely concentrated formula makes it very cost effective. It can be diluted with large volumes of water. Pressure washing produces the most effective results when using this tough cleaner. The following are some recommended dilution rates. The metering system can be set to deliver dilutions from 1:10 up to 1:60. Your choice of dilution ratio will be based on the severity of the grime and the type of surface to be cleaned. Typically, when pressure washing difficult soils, try a ration of 1:10 up to 1:25. For those light to medium soiled areas, ratios from 1:60 up to 1:80 should be effective. Note, it is important to be extra careful in protecting soft metals and paint from strong concentrations of this cleaner.

This super strong cleaner/degreaser has shown its aggressive cleaning abilities as a cold soak degreaser when used at full concentrate strength. An example of its effectiveness is that it will strip and move away paint from an engine valve cover when soaked in this full strength cold soak degreaser. Oil, grease, and most paints can be effectively stripped from ferrous metals by soaking in this full strength degreaser for 1 to 24 hours.

Commercial Degreaser for Concrete is formulated with highly alkaline additives that could damage aluminum, soft metals, and dull paint if a too strong cleaning concentration is applied. With this in mind, it is best, before cleaning any equipment or service, to first conduct a spot test of a small area of the soil surface. A dilution of 1:40 or more typically will have no negative effect on quality paint if rinsed away before any drying occurs. Another way of applying this product for degreasing and cleaning vehicles or equipment would be to use a garden type pump sprayer. Yet another way is to simply brush on a solution that will pre-clean extra soiled deposits before conducting regular cleaning. Depending on the severity and difficulty of the dirty service, concentration ranges could be full strength all the way up to 1:10. These are allowed to soak and then pressure rinsed clean. For the majority of cleaning tasks when using a garden type pump sprayer, create a mixture at a ratio of 1:5 to 1:10 for heavy soils. For light to medium soils, try a mixed ratio of 1:15 up to 1:25. Allow 5 to 10 minutes for the cleaning solution to do its job, then thoroughly rinse away. Remember to always take extra precautions to protect equipment, vehicle, and automobile paints from strong mixtures of this degreaser.
